Who We Are

Welcome to our Bhawan

A place for the community

Sri Guru Granth Sahib is not only installed at our Bhawan but also 100% followed by our community.

We provide a variety of services to our members at Bhawan. These services include prayer, Kirtan Darbar, and Sikh religious ceremonies & celebrations.

The Bhawan is managed by a committee and a group of volunteers who work for the community’s benefit. At any given time, there may be a large number of volunteers helping around The Bhawan.

Mon-Sat: Morning 5AM – 8AM | Evening 4PM – 6PM
Sunday: 5AM – 6PM
Langar: 1PM – 3PM (Sunday & other occasions)

Activities & Mission

We thrice to serve the religious, spiritual and cultural needs of the Ravidass Community and its followers of Oostende Belgium.

Our mission is the Advancement of the Sikh Religion and its beliefs of universal brotherhood, selfless love, peace, and harmony among people within the communities of Oostende, Belgium.

Laid Foundation - 2011

Construction

The Gurudwara’s construction began in 2011, which was made possible by contributions and donations from the followers of the Guru Ravidass community, who contributed generously to the construction across the globe from Belgium, Netherlands, France, and England.
The Gurudwara’s architecture incorporates a peaceful environment for the devotees and followers of Shri Guru Ravidass. The Gurudwara also features a community kitchen, which serves free meals to visitors and worshippers as per the Sikh tradition of langar.
After four years of tireless effort and unwavering commitment from the community members who founded it, the Gurudwara was finally opened and inaugurated in March 2015. This momentous occasion marked the culmination of a long journey filled with challenges, obstacles, and setbacks, but also with resilience, perseverance, and determination.
The opening of the Gurudwara was a joyous and momentous occasion, marked by a grand inauguration ceremony attended by community members, local dignitaries, and religious leaders.

Honored with the presense

Our chief guest played a significant role in their presence. We were honored to have Then Mayor of Oostende – Mr. Johan Vande Lanotte, Marriage registrar Miss Hina Bhatti, followed by then-election fighter, now mayor Mr. Bart Tommelein, Former President Mr. Tarsem Lal Balu, Shri Ravidass Sabha U.K and Europe., And followed by other Gurudwara community members and followers.

2017

The land is a gift from the divine.

The land is a gift from the divine. In 2017, by the grace of God, we acquired additional land for the gurdwara. And we are humbled by the opportunity to use it to build a sacred space to come together to worship and serve our community.

As we move forward with the Seva, we will continue to rely on the guidance and blessings of God. We are grateful for this opportunity to make a Gurdwara Sahib to pray, meditate, and serve our community.
